Circuits2Robotics is an online course service on Thinkific platform, that allows parents or guardians (“Parents”) to enroll learners/kids (“students”) in online small-group classes or in a recorded video tutorials course. This Privacy Statement describes what personal information Circuits2Robotics collects from Parents of the students enrolled in Circuits2Robotics Eduventures course Services, as well as how Circuits2Robotics collects and uses personal information from visitors to our public website (collectively, “Sites”). 

Parent's consent: The Circuits2Robotics courses can be used by beginners and kids. A parent consent is necessary when enrolling a child as a learner into the course. A Parent/guardian needs to use their own email-id to enroll a child into a course, the email address to be used for enrollment should belong to an adult (age 18 years or older). Children cannot enroll in classes on their own. Once enrolled, the learner and the parent can access the course content. Parents provide us with the Child’s name and age. 

Circuits2Robotics Eduventures LLC is responsible only for the content of courses provided by Circuits2Robotics Eduventures LLC, it has no control over or responsibility regarding other third parties courses hosted on Thinkific and Thinkific portal content.

1. What information do we collect and what do we do with it?

When you enroll as a student or subscriber (“learner”) on our site or related courses, as part of the enrolling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name and email address.

Email marketing: we may send you emails about our site and related course(s), registration, course content, your course progress or other updates. We may also use your email to inform you about changes to the course, survey you about your usage, or collect your opinion.

2. How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to become a learner on our site, make a purchase, or participate in the course, you imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

4. Thinkific

Our course and site is hosted by Thinkific Labs Inc. (“Thinkific”). They provide us with the online course creation platform that allow us to sell our product/services to you.

Your data is stored through Thinkific’s data storage, databases and the general Thinkific application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment:

If you make a purchase on our site, we use a third party payment processor such as Stripe or Paypal. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our site and related courses and its service providers.

5. Third Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption.  Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

We collect cookies or similar tracking technologies. This means information that our website’s server transfers to your computer. This information can be used to track your session on our website. Cookies may also be used to customize our website content for you as an individual. If you are using one of the common Internet web browsers, you can set up your browser to either let you know when you receive a cookie or to deny cookie access to your computer.

Web Analysis Tools

We may use web analysis tools that are built into the BUSINESS NAME website to measure and collect anonymous session information.

7. Age of Consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence. If you are below the age of 16, you may use our website or the Plus Services only with the permission and active involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

If our site or course is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.

DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?  

In Short:  We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.  

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Sites, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Sites. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. Parental Consent: Circuits2Robotics Eduventures LLC requires that you provide your credit card information to verify you and to register your Child for and pay for a Circuits2Robotics Class. If you do not consent or withdraw consent, then your learner will not be allowed to use the Services in any way.  

Parental Choices and Controls: At any time, you can review and refuse to permit us to collect Personal Data from your account. You can also request that we delete from our records the Personal Data we have collected in connection with that account. Please keep in mind that a request to delete records may lead to a termination of an account, membership, or other service. You may review and update certain of your learner's information by logging onto your account. In your account, you can review your learner's activity in the enrolled courses. You can contact Circuits2Robotics to request access to, change, or delete your account data, by sending an email to us at [email protected] . A valid request to delete Personal Data will be accommodated within a reasonable time. In addition to the foregoing, we will exercise commercially reasonable efforts to delete Personal Data when it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected.
